The aluminum trim coil wins increasing popularity with rich colors and excellent decorative effects. The coil is so popular that it’s even further classified by colors, like vinyl coated aluminum coil stock and white aluminum coil. Regular alloys for it include 1060, 1100, 3003, 3004 and 5052. Their features are as below.
With an aluminum content of 99.6%, 1060 aluminum trim coil has good elongation and tensile strength, fully meeting common processing requirements like stamping and drawing. It’s widely applied in products requiring low strength, such as signboards, billboards, building exterior decoration panels, bus shells, high-rise and factory wall decoration sheets, kitchen sinks, fan blades electronic parts, chemical devices, sheet processing parts, deep drawing or spinning concave vessels, welded parts, heat exchangers, clock surfaces and discs, nameplates, kitchen utensils, decorations, reflective appliances, etc.

1100 aluminum trim coil has an aluminum content of 99.00%. It has high corrosion resistance, good conductivity, small density and good plasticity. It is used for products that require good forming properties, high corrosion resistance and low strength, such as utensils, heat sinks, caps, printing plates, building materials, heat exchanging parts etc.
3003 aluminum trim coil is also known as rust-proof aluminum because it has a manganese alloy element. With a strength about 10% higher than 1100, it boasts good formability, solubility, and corrosion resistance. Its typical end products include storage devices, tanks for transporting liquid products, various pressure vessels and pipes for processing with thin plates, general fins, heat sinks, cosmetic plates, photocopier drums, marine materials and so on.
3004 aluminum trim coil is also a member of aluminum-manganese alloys. It has a higher strength than 3003, excellent formability and good corrosion resistance, mainly used in chemical production and storage equipment, sheet metal processing parts, building materials, building baffles, cable ducts, sewers, various lighting parts, beverage cans, wave boards, building materials, color aluminum plates and electric lamp heads etc.
Magnesium is the main alloying element in the 5052 aluminum trim coil. Regarded as the most widely used rust-proof aluminum product, 5052 trim coil has high strength, excellent fatigue resistance, good forming processability, extraordinary corrosion resistance and medium strength, used to manufacture aircraft fuel tanks, oil pipes, transportation vehicles, ship sheet metal parts, instruments, hardware products and electric-shells etc.
